We made this open ring from the handpiece of a 90 year old fork and combined it with an oval cabochon shaped Opal from Ethiopia.
The design of the silver cutlery was called "Chased Diana" and introduced in 1928 by the silver company "Towle Silver". It shows elegant tendrils that decorate the edge of our ring. "Chased" refers to an engraving technique used by silversmiths and "Diana" refers to the Roman goddess of the hunt, the moon and birth, protector of women and girls.
Towle Silversmiths was originally founded in 1857 as Towle & Jones in Boston, Massachusetts, USA
Opals are said to be promoting intelligence, humor, creativity, imagination, and friendship. Strengthens the heart and the immune system, and improves the self-regulation of the body.
